Phase 1 – Tuesday 24 August – satellite workshop to FRM

12 participants with a science communication project (i.e. 12 science communication projects) will be pre-selected (according to the selection criteria) to participate in this workshop. Projects will be split into three categories, four projects per category. Each category will have a team of two coaches who will provide feedback on the project and the way it is pitched.
At the end of the workshop, six projects will be selected to go into phase 2 and compete to receive funding.

2:00 pm Welcome & introduction
2:05 pm Participants pitch their project to the coaches (3 min x participant – no questions)
2:50 pm Feedback session
Participants will be divided into 3 break-out rooms, according to the group they belong to.
3:30 pm Deliberations
Coaches deliberate and select 2 projects per category to go into phase 2.
3:40 – 4:00 pm Announcement of results and feedback from coaches
