The FENS-Kavli Network of Excellence (FKNE) consists of 30 Scholars; they serve two terms of 2 years (4 years in total). Every two years up to 15 new Scholars are selected, and 15 – end their mandate/rotate off, becoming FKNE Alumni.
The network aims to improve neuroscience, through scientific exchange, science policy actions, community & outreach activities.

COVID-19 update
On account of the developing COVID-19 situation, the FENS-Kavli Network of Excellence (FKNE) recruitment cycle for Scholars is postponed to 2021.
The updated recruitment timeline will be published on the FKNE website by early 2021, with an application deadline envisioned for April 2021.
The next FKNE cohort is intended to be selected ahead of the FENS Regional Meeting 2021 (25-27 August 2021, Krakow). More.
