The European Journal of Neuroscience Special Issue on “Glial Plasticity in Health and Disease” is now out!

The accelerated pace of glial research within modern neuroscience has highlighted diverse functions of astrocytes, oligodendrocytes and microglia: these cells have dazzled with the amazing array of their roles in shaping the brain. The papers in this Special Issue reflect the recent progress in our understanding of the diverse roles of these cells in development, normal brain function, ageing and disease.

Guest Editors Ania Majewska (University of Rochester, USA), Alexej Verkhratsky (University of Manchester, United Kingdom), Ethan Hughes (University of Colorado, USA).
