A public consultation on the preliminary Opinion ‘The need for non-human primates in biomedical research’

The European Commission and its Scientific Committee on Health, Environmental and Emerging Risks (SCHEER) have just launched a public consultation on the preliminary Opinion ‘The need for non-human primates in biomedical research, production and testing of products and devices’.
The Committee on Animals in Research (CARE) is fully involved and, together with the The European Life Sciences Alliance (ELSA),has followed discussion and initiatives on use of animals in research. CARE is committed to provide inclusive and coherent comments on the opinion, and exchange vision with the ELSA hub.
Due to the importance of the document at European and international level, FENS kindly invite you and your colleagues to take part in this consultation by submitting comments on the preliminary opinion by 26 March.
