2021 training activities programme: call for ideas

Scientists from all domains in neuroscience are invited to suggest their ideas for topics and themes to support the 2021 FENS educational and training programme:

– CAJAL Advanced Neuroscience Training Programme: in partnership with IBRO, The Gatsby Charitable Foundation, the University of Bordeaux and the Champalimaud Foundation, FENS offers a programme of 2-3 week hands-on training courses. The advanced training courses may be either purely technical or have a topic-related focus within a framework of technical advances. Six courses are organised per year.

– FENS Summer and Winter Schools in collaboration with the Society for Neuroscience and the Hertie Foundation respectively. FENS summer and winter schools last 1 week and are focused on defined topics in neuroscience. Chaired and taught in intimate settings by invited international renowned experts, FENS schools offer a framework where PhD students and early career scientists may expand their professional horizon, get exposed to new ideas and discuss concepts of modern neuroscience in an informal atmosphere.

– The Brain Conferences establish a series of high-level meetings on neuroscience in Europe. Organised by FENS in collaboration with The Brain Prize, these bi-annual conferences bring together outstanding researchers in key areas of contemporary neuroscience to discuss current concepts and define challenges for future research. They usually last 4 days.
