This course provides an overview of the molecular basis of neurodegenerative disorders and is aimed at individuals working in neurodegenerative research, neurogenetics or translational neuroscience, including clinical scientists, veterinary scientists, PhD students and post-doctoral researchers.
The course will highlight experimental techniques used in neurogenetics and stem cell research and will give an introduction to the development of therapeutic intervention to combat neurodegenerative disorders. It will also provide an introduction to bioinformatic approaches relevant to neurology, including genome-wide association studies.
