Predictive Processing in the developing brain
Porto, PT
Attendance type(s): In Person
Event Dates: 2 Jul 2020
Predictive Processing (PP) has been gaining momentum and making progress as a neurobiologically plausible framework for brain function. In the past decade, theoretical and experimental works tried to analyze the developing brain according to this framework, leading to new questions but shedding light on the prospects of considering PP as a promising model of development. This presentation is going to approach what we know about the presence of predictive functioning in development, what new questions arise from this relationship, and the particular efforts being made in the field of emotional face processing highlighting the potential of ERP techniques to tackle these processes.
