NENS Call for Education and Training Clusters 2022
Event Dates: 11 Apr 2022
Registration Deadline: 11 Apr 2022
The Network of European Neuroscience Schools (NENS) was founded in 2003 by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), to exchange best practices, and share experiences among the neuroscience graduate schools in Europe.
207 graduate schools are already part of NENS, offering MSc, PhD and MD-PhD degrees in neuroscience across 28 European countries.
NENS members have access to FENS and IBRO-PERC funding to organise courses, they are exposed to a wide international audience, and their students benefit from a number of advantages. Check here for a summary of the benefits available for NENS school members and their students.
The FENS Committee for Higher Education and Training (FENS-CHET) and the IBRO Pan-Europe Regional Committee (IBRO-PERC) has launched the Call for Education and Training Clusters 2022, with the aim to start or enhance cooperation among NENS school programmes.
Eligibility criteria:
The proposed clusters should consist of at least 3 NENS graduate school programmes3 and cover minimum 3 different European countries.
Topics:
The clusters should address new needs in the neuroscience community and respond to current challenges encountered in specific neuroscience domains4. The goal is to foster scientific or administrative cooperation among the NENS graduate schools.
For more guidance, please contact the NENS office via nens@fens.org
Deliverables:
Possible deliverables for NENS clusters could include sharing know-how, development of joint curricula, modules, programmes – online and/or in-person, production of online materials (webinars, workshops); initiating, enriching or expanding a teaching programme etc.
These outcomes must be presented to the FENS Committee for Higher Education and Training and be available and disseminated to the NENS community.
Available funding: up to EUR 30,000 per awarded cluster application.
Funding allocation: 2 to 4 instalments, based on awarded amount, proposed deliverables and timeline.
Completion of deliverables: up to 18 months from the announcement of the awarded application. Cluster activity and development can be continued by further applying to future calls.
Your application should define the aims, target audience, deliverables and expected impact.
Application closed on 11 April 2022.
