EJN call for papers: Functions and modalities of acetylcholine signaling in the mammalian brain

Organiser: European Journal of Neuroscience (EJN)

Website

Registration Deadline: 18 Nov 2022

Acetylcholine was the first neurotransmitter discovered, yet our understanding of how it functions in the brain to regulate cognition and behaviour remains incomplete. We seek research studies that focus on the unique functions, topography, physiology, and temporal and spatial modalities of acetylcholine signalling in the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. We welcome submissions that investigate functional consequences of cholinergic projection modalities and receptor expression on neural circuit processing, in vivo, in vitro and in silico systems.

Guest Editors: Victoria Booth (University of Michigan), Howard Gritton (University of Illinois), and Matt Howe (Virginia Tech).
