YOUR TEAM

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where experts in neurophysiology, biophysics and biotechnology collaborate to carry out common research.

The Synaptic Plasticity of Inhibitory Networks (SPIN) Research line is coordinated by Dr Andrea Barberis, who has extensive experience in excitatory and inhibitory synaptic plasticity and in the organization of synaptic elements in physiology and pathology.

The project will focus on synthetic long non-coding RNA molecules (SINEUPs) as potential therapeutic tools to correct the defective expression of specific proteins expressed at the inhibitory synapses in haploinsufficient models of epileptic encephalopathies.
