Description:
A post-doctoral position is available in Neuroplasticity and Regeneration – Ampatzis Lab at Karolinska Institute. Ampatzis Lab uses multidisciplinary approaches (electrophysiology, imaging, anatomy, behaviour) to study how the nervous system responds to changes under physiological and pathophysiological conditions.
We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, passionate, and creative individual interested in plasticity and regeneration of the nervous system. The studies will be carried out using the zebrafish model system.
Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. in neuroscience and a passion for regeneration research.
The advertised, fully-funded 2+2-years position will enable the development of an independent and competitive research profile.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent Ph.D. (Preferable within the last three years)
- A strong foundation and passion for either electrophysiological recordings or neuroanatomy and behavior.
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- High level of English
Previous experience with the zebrafish model system is not expected but will be given preference.
This position is offered initially for 2 years with the potential for renewal for another 2/3 years.
