One part-time (50%) postdoc position in the Center for Sleep Medicine (University Hospitals of Geneva)
is proposed, as a part of a project on sleep enhancement of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),
directed by Dr. Lampros Perogamvros.

Summary of the project
We will test the hypothesis that targeted memory reactivation (TMR) during REM sleep, a technique
used to strengthen memory formation through the application of cues during sleep, improves PTSD
severity in patients under Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) in comparison to patients receiving IRT alone.

Description
The postdoc scientist will recruit patients with PTSD, apply IRT and collect clinical and EEG data.

Candidate requirements
The ideal candidate must:
– have a PhD degree in neurosciences, psychology, or equivalent
– have a previous first-level experience with EEG
– have a previous solid experience with clinical populations
– have a professional level of French and English
– have to work in collaboration with other students and assistants

Period
We offer a competitive HUG salary. The position is available from January 2023 and for 2 years.
