Our mission
The mission of the recently established research group is to develop and directly translationally test innovative neurotechnologies for the benefit of neurological patients. In the current project, neuroplasticity-enhancing effects of the novel non-invasive deep brain stimulation technique (Temporal Interference Stimulation), which has been currently developed at EPFL (Geneva, Switzerland) and ICL (London, UK) for human applications, will be investigated in chronic stroke. The research group is part of the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Wuerzburg (Germany).
Main duties and responsibilities
- Coordination of communication with study patients
- Patient recruitment and scheduling of study appointments
- Data acquisition (application of non-invasive brain stimulation protocols, conduction of behavioral experiments and standardized psychological and motor assessments)
- Statistical data analyses
- Drafting of manuscripts
Your profile
- Master’s degree in translational neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering, state examination in medicine or comparable qualification
- Experience in interacting with patients and clinical staff
- Ability to conduct behavioral experiments independently
- Basic programming skills (R, MATLAB)
- Native German-speaker or equivalent (C2)
- Fluent English language skills (C1)
