Description:
We are recruiting a motivated candidate (PhD student) to cover a research position at the Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience.
The laboratory offers a 1-year contract starting as soon as possible. It is expected that the successful candidate is able to attract his/her own fellowship from the Basque Government, UPV/EHU, FPU program or La Caixa Foundation.
The candidate will use confocal imaging and molecular biology techniques to understand how neurons and astrocytes talk to each other and control the time of the master circadian clock in the hypothalamus. The successful candidate will join a motivated and highly collaborative group and will benefit from access to frontline technical resources, under the supervision of the Principal Investigator of the project, Dr Mariana Astiz.

Elegibility:
- High academic record (>8) to apply for regional, national and international calls
- Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology or any related field
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Recommendable previous experience in imaging and molecular biology
