A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Christos Constantinidis, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Vanderbilt University, USA. The research project seeks to understand the neurophysiology of the prefrontal cortex as it underlies working memory. The project involves designing and performing behavioral, neurophysiological, and optogenetic experiments in non-human primates. Both junior applicants, having newly completed their PhD, and more senior postdocs will be considered. A Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or equivalent is required. Outstanding candidates that have a strong background in the acquisition of neurophysiological data, in computational analysis, and/or optogenetics experience in any model system will be preferred.
