Post-doctoral position in molecular and cellular biology to study GPCRs involved in the control of reproduction and social interactions

Position: Post-doctoral Position

Deadline: 30 August 2022

Contract Length: 2 years

City: Nouzilly

Country: France

Institution: INRAE-CNRS-University of Tours

Department:

Description:

The postdoctoral position is available in the BIOS group (https://www6.val-de-loire.inrae.fr/umrprc-bios_eng/) in the Physiology of Reproduction and Behaviours Unit (UMR 7247, INRAE/CNRS/Université de Tours/IFCE, Nouzilly, France). Our group’s research focuses on the signaling triggered by key G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) and studies their impact on either reproduction or social interactions. To do so, we develop original pharmacological tools, based on antibody fragments, that are capable of selectively modulating the receptors of interest through allosteric mechanisms. The candidate will exploit these new tools in vivo in mice in order to understand the signaling mechanisms controlling reproduction and social interactions.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, endocrinology or neurobiology with at least one conclusive post-doctoral experience. A prior experience in antibody and/or GPCR research will be viewed as an asset. A good track record of scientific accomplishments and a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm is requested.

Please send your complete application including a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and the names of three references to Eric.Reiter@inrae.fr and Lucie.Pellissier@inrae.fr.
