Description:

Postdoctoral position available on the molecular/cell biology of neurodegeneration and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Emphasis on mechanisms of neuroprotection and angiogenesis and on effects of FAD mutants on neuronal survival, angiogenesis/vascular functions, cell signaling, neuronal and endothelial transcriptome and processing of receptors by γ-secretase. Experience with animal models, primary neuronal/endothelial cell culturing and gene expression analysis helpful. Icahn School of Medicine has an excellent faculty of neuroscientists and prominent researchers on Alzheimer’s disease, researchers working on this project will benefit from collaborative scientific environment and state of the art resources of the campus.  More information in: Pandey et al., (2022) Alzheimers Dement.
