A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jun Nishiyama at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore to study molecular mechanisms underlying synaptic function and dysfunction in psychiatric disorders (https://www.duke-nus.edu.sg/directory/detail/nishiyama-jun).
The successful candidate will lead a project using cutting-edge optical technologies in combination with a variety of molecular and genome editing tools to investigate the synaptic structure, plasticity, and diseases. We are looking for highly qualified and motivated individuals with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree in neuroscience, biochemistry, cell biology, or closely related fields. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who have the desire to learn and develop new techniques in different fields. Candidates with prior experience in electrophysiology or omics analysis are especially encouraged to apply.
