Applications are invited for one postdoc position in the team “Neurogenomics and Neuronal Pathophysiology” of the research unit “Imaging and Brain” INSERM U1253, at the University of Tours (France).

The position is funded for one year starting as soon as possible and may be extended for additional years. The successful applicant will work on an ambitious project implying collaboration with an industrial partner. We aim to test a new therapeutic strategy based on biomolecules targeting protein aggregates in mice models of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). We shall improve the knowledge of the pathogenic impact of protein aggregates in ALS and we will perform the first in vivo test of a promising drug candidate (patent in progress).

The candidate is expected to be highly qualified, independent, and motivated. He/She must hold a PhD and have and expertise in preclinical AAV-based gene expression.
