gencia Estatal Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) is looking for a highly motivated and talented early stage researcher to work on the ASTROTECH project, a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (www.astrotechproject.eu), which is funded by the European Community’s Framework programme Horizon 2020.
ESR will develop the research at the CAJAL INSTITUTE, in Madrid, Spain. The main topic of the research will be Neuroscience-Biological Engineering. The successful candidate will participate in events organized by the ASTROTECH network and carry out secondments for partner institutions.
Project title: Modulation of astrocyte-neuron signalling properties by optogenetic and photonic devices in control and a depression mouse model.
Main objectives: – Optical activation of astrocyte calcium signal and currents ex vivo by glioelectronic devices.
– In vivo astrocyte-neuron crosstalk by optogenetic stimulation with the glioelectronic devices in a mouse model of depression.
