Applications are invited for a 3-year PhD fellowship in neuroscience at the Group of synaptic physiology (, Department of Molecular Medicine, University of Oslo. The project, which is supported by the Research Council of Norway, aims to study how inhibitory interneurons contribute to cortical functions. The group uses electrophysiological and imaging methods to analyze signaling mechanisms in interneuron dendrites and axons. The applicant will work in a multidisciplinary team, and the main work responsibilities will be to perform microsurgeries, electrophysiological recordings, and two-photon microscopy in mice.
The position is available from the autumn of 2021, and the salary level is between NOK 482 200 – 526 000 per year, depending on qualifications (position code 1017).
