Prof. Dr. Franziska Richter-Assencio group at Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmacy, University of Veterinary Medicine, TiHo, Hannover, seeks a PhD candidate for the projects related to Parkinson’s disease (PD). Our group is focused on various aspects of PD including the role of specific neuronal subtypes in disease pathogenesis, sleep impairment, adult neurogenesis etc. We have a broad range of techniques available on spot to meet our needs including in vitro approaches: transgenic animal models, AAV-induced animal models, mouse behavior facility; in vitro techniques, advanced microscopy, optogenetics, molecular biology/biochemistry labs, and many more available through our extensive network of collaborators.
Reliable and driven young researcher with analytical thinking and “hands on” mindset.
Problem-solving individual with the interest in method development/refinement.
Experience and/or interest in working with animal models.
Very good command of spoken and written English (German is not required).
Person who understands the importance of collaboration and cooperation, team player.
