IfADo explores the risks and potentials of modern work in interdisciplinary approaches. We combine the disciplines of Ergonomics, Immunology, Toxicology, Psychology and Neurosciences.

The Department of Psychology and Neurosciences is looking for a

Post-Doctoral researcher (f, m,d)

The position is limited to a period of 4 years.

Description of activities
Subject to the approval of the funder, we are looking for a scientist at postdoctoral level for an exciting project in neuromodulation. The project investigates the human physiology of extinction learning and has as its ultimate goal the development of optimised non-invasive brain stimulation techniques to normalise abnormal extinction learning. A wide range of methods will be used in this project, including non-invasive brain stimulation techniques (tDCS), EEG, fMRI and MRS. The project is part of a collaborative research center. The Collaborative ResearchCArea SFB 1280 “Extinction Learning” is an interdisciplinary network of partners from the fields of psychology, medicine, neuroinformatics and biology funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Scientists from the Ruhr University Bochum and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Duisburg-Essen, the Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors at the Technical University of Dortmund and the Philipps University of Marburg are cooperating.

Your qualification
The candidate should have experience in the field of non-invasive brain stimulation in humans, functional imaging, the performance of cognitive tasks in humans and Matlab programming skills. Ideally, she/he should have a PhD in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, psychology or neuroscience.
