A full postdoctoral research position is available in the lab of Inga Neumann at the Department of Behavioural and Molecular Neurobiology at the University of Regensburg (Bavaria) in September 2021 for up to 5 years. The candidate should have proven state-of-the-art methodological expertise in behavioural, molecular, neuroendocrine or neuronal network neuroscience in rodents (e.g., optogenetics or in vivo calcium imaging). A good team spirit will help to accommodate easily in our international research group. As a young postdoc, you will first be integrated into an ongoing Project; as an advanced postdoc you will have the chance to follow your own scientific project, which should nicely fit into our general research frame. Our research is focused on neuronal, molecular and epigenetic regulatory mechanisms of emotional (anxiety, fear, depression) and social (social fear, aggression, social preference) behaviours in rats and mice especially in the context of regulation by neuropeptides (oxytocin, vasopressin, CRF) and their interactions.

This position offers an exciting career opportunity and will be integrated into our PhD Graduate School “Neurobiology of socio-emotional dysfunctions” GRK 2174 at the interface of basic and applied neuroscience.
